Cellosaurus T37i (CVCL_S893)

Cell line name T37i
Accession CVCL_S893
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: T37i (RRID:CVCL_S893)
Comments Characteristics: Can differentiate into brown adipocytes when incubated with triiodothyronine (T3) and insulin over 3-6 days. Differentiation can also be induced by incubation with steroid hormones such as aldosterone, which induces differentiation through its interaction with mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) (Millipore=SCC250).
Transformant: NCBI_TaxID; 1891767; Simian virus 40 (SV40).
Derived from site: In situ; Brown adipose tissue; UBERON=UBERON_0001348.
Disease Mouse hibernoma (NCIt: C21634)
Species of origin Mus musculus (Mouse) (NCBI Taxonomy: 10090)
Breed/subspecies: C57BL/6 x DBA/2 SV40TAg transgenic.
