Cellosaurus HEK293 CCKBR calcium-Nomad (CVCL_YK06)

Cell line name HEK293 CCKBR calcium-Nomad
Synonyms CCKBR Ca2+Nomad; CCK2 Nomad
Accession CVCL_YK06
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: HEK293 CCKBR calcium-Nomad (RRID:CVCL_YK06)
Comments Characteristics: In absence of calcium, the fluorescent biosensor is localized in the cellular membrane. An increase in this second messenger concentration leads to change in the structural folding of Nomad biosensor that promotes its cellular relocation in the vesicular trafficking of the cells.
Characteristics: The green calcium-Nomad biosensor consists of a membrane localization peptide derived from interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain, a TurboGFP fluorescent protein, a calmodulin-binding peptide fused to a KDEL signal.
