Involvement in disease:  Cystinuria (CSNU) [MIM:220100]: An autosomal disorder characterized by impaired epithelial cell transport of cystine and dibasic amino acids (lysine, ornithine, and arginine) in the proximal renal tubule and gastrointestinal tract.
