Involvement in disease:  Sitosterolemia (STSL) [MIM:210250]: Rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by increased intestinal absorption of all sterols including cholesterol, plant and shellfish sterols, and decreased biliary excretion of dietary sterols into bile.
